David Hruby, graphic designer and illustrator
About David and his company:
Hruby Design has been involved in the visual interpretation of science, technology, and agriculture for many years. It’s gotten results for a wide range of clients in a wide variety of communication endeavors.
In association with Donya Melanson Associates and HRD Productions, it participates on projects for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Geological Survey, GE Plastics (and its new incarnation, SABIC Innovative Plastics), and GE Healthcare.
Before starting up Hruby Design, David worked for the museum-exhibit design firm of Krent/Paffett Associates. Prior to that, he was in charge of the design group that produced communication materials for The MITRE Corporation’s corporate and Air Force Systems divisions. As an exhibit artist for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, he worked on the development of the Halls of the Environment and Earth Science. He set up a museum of geology for Western Illinois University and painted its History of Life mural.
